After Tryouts

Once tryouts are completed, individual team coaches will contact the parents of players who attended, either by phone or by email, to update them on their child's situation, and if appropriate, offer a spot on a particular team. Given how many players we have attend our tryouts, this process can take a few days to complete, so if you have not heard from a coach within 7 days of tryouts please contact the Super Y director by clicking HERE, since there is always the possibility that your contact information may have been listed incorrectly.

Once a coach has offered a spot to a player, the parent of the player will be asked to make a firm commitment to the team so our admin staff can send an official acceptance email to the parent to accept the child into our Super Y program through the same Blue Sombrero account used to pre-register for tryouts. Please note that if you did not pre-register for tryouts and do not have a current member account on the Atlanta Metros website (if you were a walk-up for example), we will need you to create a new account (clicking on 'Register' in the top right corner of the page) through which we will complete your child's registration.

At this point, the process splits into two, one working with the coaching staff, the other working with the admin staff:

1.  You will need to continue to communicate with the relevant coach and/or team manager to move the process along as it relates to your child being part of the team. This includes confirming email addresses to add into the team email group, as well as communicating your child’s roster # preference to the coach/team manager if you are new to the program to allow them to ensure that no other player on the team has chosen the same number. For more information on the uniform ordering process, please click on 'Uniform' on the main menu.

2.  Once team coaches have communicated their roster selections to the club, our administrators will begin sending out the acceptance emails to provide parents with access to the payment tool within our Blue Sombrero registration website to allow them to complete all the waivers and to determine the preferred payment method (check or credit card payment). For a step-by-step guide on creating an account and accepting a place for your child, please click HERE. Once you have completed the registration process through Blue Sombrero, you child will officially be part of the Atlanta Metros Super Y Program!
